In this Policy Brief, Jessica Clement, Asel Doranova, Sabina Hodžić, and Nevelina Pachova summarize key findings and potential solutions for improving the engagement of marginalized communities in Territorial Just Transition Plans (TJTPs).

The policy brief highlights the importance of addressing the priorities of these communities, ensuring their direct involvement in decision-making processes, and integrating their needs into more inclusive and contextually relevant frameworks. The insights are based on collaborative research across multiple European regions, with a focus on aligning the objectives of TJTPs with local community priorities.

This policy brief was produced as part of the BOLSTER project in a joint effort by the authors from CIRAD, Tilburg University, FTHM, and RMIT Europe.
