The EU-funded BOLSTER project has released a new infographic booklet celebrating the success of its Community Projects, grassroots initiatives that put local people at the heart of Europe’s green and just transition.
Implemented across the seven European target regions – Hainaut (Belgium), Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), Istria (Croatia), León (Spain), Halle (Germany), Upper Silesia (Poland), and Prahova (Romania) – these projects were designed and led by community members themselves as part of BOLSTER’s Re-Activate Campaign.
From eco-festivals and urban gardens to skills workshops, intercultural markets, and home improvements for vulnerable families, each project addressed the unique needs of its region while promoting environmental awareness, social inclusion, and local empowerment.
The booklet not only documents the diverse activities and tangible results achieved but also highlights a key lesson learned: lasting change happens when communities are not just consulted, but empowered to lead.
Offering an inspiring look at how grassroots action can shape a more inclusive and sustainable future for all, the full BOLSTER Community Projects Infographic Booklet is now available below.
